I need you to pray that I will accurately share God's word with you and not lead any of you astray. I want to give everyone an opportunity to express their needs if they wish. I know we all have many unspoken requests, and that is alright because God knows our need before we even need it and that is all that really matters. I'll do my best to check back here often, so just leave a comment under this post for me. I don't even care if you put unspoken, so I can pray for you specifically because I don't need all the details because God knows.
"Pray without ceasing." (1 Thessalonians 5:17, King James Version)
You might be wondering how you can pray nonstop. The passage doesn't say pray out loud all the time it just says to pray. We just need to be in a spirit of prayer because like I said above there are unspoken needs and God wants us to be still and know that he is God; he also doesn't like someone to pray with a boastful attitude (like the Pharisee when he was boasting about his accomplishments and praying like he was a perfect angel in comparison to the repentant tax collector--God honored the tax collector's prayer more). In my study bible it says, "The Greek word here rendered without ceasing is used in secular literature to denote a man suffering from an intermittent cough--one that is not continuous, but occurs at intervals. Just as this individual has the tendency to cough, though does not always do so audibly, so the believer ought to remain in the attitude of prayer though not always praying audibly."
